Mills Member of the Year award by the Maricopa County Bar Association (MCBA). This accolade serves as a recognition of Kent’s exceptional commitment to the legal profession, his invaluable contributions to the MCBA, and his outstanding dedication to public service.

- Shows an outstanding commitment to public service, including charitable, cultural, humanitarian, and/or educational service to the community at large
Kent Berk: A Profile in Excellence
Kent Berk’s contributions to the MCBA and the legal community at large have been deep and ongoing.
Kent was instrumental in developing and conducting the highly acclaimed MCBA seminar “Evidence & Trial Advocacy for Arizona Probate Attorneys.” This seminar has been central in educating and equipping probate attorneys with the essential skills and knowledge required for effective advocacy. The 1.5 hour seminar has evolved into a mini trial college for probate attorneys, likely to be at least a full day starting in 2024.
Kent has also taught seminars focused on a variety of issues, including the financial exploitation of vulnerable adults, a critical issue that aligns closely with our firm’s specialization in elder law litigation. His educational initiatives have raised awareness and provided actionable insights into preventing and addressing this form of abuse.
In addition to his educational endeavors, Kent has authored articles focused on various probate, trust and estate issues. His writings have been a resource for both seasoned professionals and those new to the field.
Kent has volunteered on various boards and has been an active participant in the Probate Lawyers Assistance Project. His commitment to public service extends beyond the courtroom and educational settings, reaching into the community.
