Sarah Epperson is a skilled litigator who focuses her practice on trust and estate administration, probate litigation, and other contested estate matters.  She also has broad experience in the areas of civil and commercial litigation and civil appeals. Sarah is admitted to practice before the State Bar of Arizona and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.

As a litigator, Sarah uses her tenacity, compassion, and creativity to resolve disputes in a holistic manner that best serves her clients’ interests. Sarah takes great pride and enjoyment in crafting efficient and effective solutions and in helping her clients accomplish their goals, particularly at what is often a difficult time in their lives.

An Arizona native, Sarah graduated from the University of Arizona summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Environmental Policy. She returned to the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and received her J.D. in 2013.

In law school, Sarah served as Senior Research Editor of the Arizona Law Review, was selected as an Ares Fellow in Civil Procedure, worked with the Arizona Attorney General’s Civil Rights Division, acted as Project Manager for the American Law Institute’s revision and publication of the Concise Restatement of Torts 3d., volunteered with the Volunteer Lawyer’s Program, and enjoyed membership in the Arizona Law Women’s Association and Business Law Society.

After earning her law degree, Sarah served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Virginia C. Kelly of the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division II. She then practiced with larger firms in Tucson and Phoenix, gaining substantial experience as a civil and commercial litigator, before joining Berk Law Group in 2021.

Sarah was selected as a 2020 Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star in the area of Business Litigation.  She was honored as a Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star again in 2021 in the areas of Estate Planning & Probate, Civil Litigation: Defense, Civil Litigation: Plaintiff, and Business Litigation.

In addition, Sarah was listed with The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch in the areas of Litigation – Trust and Estates, Commercial Litigation, and Insurance Law in both 2021 and 2022. She is a graduate of FDCC’s Ladder Down, Class of 2019, and is a published author. Such publications include “Motions in Limine: The Good, the Bad, and the Underrated,” which was published in the American Bar Association, Section of Litigation, Trial Practice Committee Newsletter (February 2019).

Outside of the law, Sarah serves as a Commissioner for the City of Phoenix Arts and Culture Advisory Committee.  She also is an avid world traveler and scuba diver, and received her 1st Level Sommelier training through the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2009. When not in the office, Sarah can often be found cheering on the Arizona Diamondbacks or reading a book in the Arizona sunshine.
